In 1980, while sailing from Yugoslavia to Syria, the 172-metre Zenobia sank near Larnaca harbour in approximately 40 metres.
Novice divers do not often have the opportunity to dive on a large wreck, and there is so much to explore at 20 metres. For experienced divers there is easy access to the bridge, through some of her decks and one can still see many of her cargo of one hundred articulated lorries. Schools of barracuda circle divers during the dive.

The Zenobia has been voted one of the top 25 wreck dives of the world.
